MY EXPERIENCE PREPAIRING OF ROLE PLAY

This is my group and we named our group the four. Before I start I would like to introduce my team mate Afzan, Hizal, Syafiqah, Adila, Najwa, Haziqah. I am very glad that I one of this group because all this whole time when we preparing our role play we go through all the up and down moment and that moment is the most magnificent moment that I had.

We spend time together and I get even more closer with my group. We have learned who to cooperate with each and understand one other. So that our bond get stronger day by day to get a chemistry to make the role play more successful.

Even though, I honestly and proudly to say that we did good that time and I not being arrogant with that because I just as same as other people. I felt nervous and shy but I just being me and I stick around with my group and we help each other to make our negative felling disappear and that's where confident and bravery came so we can make this role play goes well and I am happy that we can make the audience laugh and happy that time.

This is my experience for our role play. I want to say thank you to ms. dini and thank you to group for believe in me and who knows we did great guyssss!! :)

MY EXPERIENCE PREPARING FOR ROLE PLAY

Role-play. What is role-play? A role-play is an acting in which the participants assume the roles of characters and collaboratively create stories. Participants determine the actions of their characters based on their characterization, and the actions succeed or fail according to a formal system of rules and guidelines.

I did quite a few performance in my secondary school but this is my very first time I did a role play in English. At that time, I am a new student. I am still finding time to get to know my classmates especially my teammates. So when Miss Dini informed to us that we need to find a tittle, a character for each member also what our story line is, I am excited but anxious at the same time. We have tons of ideas running through our mind from a role play about family, to comedy, to horror, and even musical. We were planning to do “Beauty and The Beast” at first but then we remembered that our lecture asked us to avoid love stories so we decided to choose a classic drama which is “The Hamlet”. On the discussion day, Miss Dini, our lecture, gives out her opinions that our play is too heavy. We were totally blanked and have no other idea on what our role play is going to be about. Our lecture helped us saying that we should do a parody. So for the final time, we decided to do a parody based on TV-drama “Oh My English”. We started out with our script and it turns out we did not even take one scene from “Oh My English” TV-drama. It was all our own idea and script.

Between the role-play, we also have other subjects work to get done with such as quizzes, presentations, and also the reports on every presentation for every subjects. We were stressed out and barely get enough sleep. This is when time management plays a vital role. We totally forgot about our role play and practice as we were too busy and focus on other subjects. Without we even realize, there’s only 3 days left until the role play performance! We were doomed. We got the script done and straight away starts our practice. Najwa, the new additional member that joined our group adds another interesting character in our play. So we have 4 scenes altogether, first scene is “In The Classroom” when we were all first introducing ourselves since it is like the first day of class, second scene is “Talentime Audition”, third scene is the “Road Trip” including “Camping Trip” and lastly is the “Final Performance”. So we have me, Adilah as Dylae, a rich and spoiled girl who loves to sing, Najwa as Teacher Wawa who teaches account for 5 Gembira, Haziqah as Aeqa, a nerd girl who loves poetry, Syafiqah as Syae, a best friend to Dylae who loves to play guitar, Hizal as Hizaly, a soft girly-like boy or the auw boy who loves to model and Afzan as Afzany, a macho boy who loves to do magic.

We finally did all the props the day before the role play but we obviously were not prepared since we only practice together twice. On the day of the role play performance, luckily our group has to perform on 4pm so we got time to practice and improve our acting. Suddenly, we forgot that we haven’t buy the props for Afzan and Hizal’s character plus we forgot to transfer our sound effect to the laptop! That’s when things get chaos all of the sudden. Everyone were so nervous so when an incident like that happen we all get super emotional and flustered. We rushed out to buy all the props needed. So on our way to buy Afzan and Hizal’s props, in the car, we actually did last minute practice while Syafiqah transferred the sound effect in the laptop. Haziqah was driving like crazy since we had to be back at the hall before 4pm. It was madness! We managed to buy all the props needed and arrived at the hall 4pm sharp. It was still consider late because we actually have to be prepared and ready on the stage by 4pm. We actually wore 3 layers of cloths that we have to change every scene. As we want to make sure that our role play is not more than 30 minutes, we wore that 3 layers at one time. But just before we start our play, we were facing with technical difficulties in terms of the sound effect. Already late, nervous and shaking, we don’t have time to worry about it and start our play. We may look okay but at the backstage, only god knows how chaotic it is!

We give our all during the play. I used every voice in my body possible to make sure it is loud since our hall is very open so it is quite hard for our lecture to hear. We for some reason memorized every line, we did not bring any script along, and just perform. I think we did great! Even with our last minute practice, we managed to perform well, I can hear the others laughed and enjoyed our play. I hope our lecture enjoyed it as well. Despite all of the circumstances, we actually did it. Ahh… good times. A memory that I will treasure for the rest of my life. From this role play, I learnt to always make an early preparation, don’t do last minute work. I learnt to manage my time between role play and other subjects’ work, to be tolerate and work together as a team and also to be punctual. I think the role play definitely helps to boost up my confident level to perform in front of people, and improve my English as well. Overall, I had a great time in doing the role play and if I can do it again, I would.

my experience preparing for role play

Acting work experience is nigh on impossible to get because usually you get about a week of work experience, which isn't enough time to put on a proper show and actually learn all about the industry. We all have to come up with our own story thats mean we have to do all things.I am very shy to acting infront of many people but all i think i might do it is because of marks.

My group firstly they want to do like gengster movie i think. There a lot of  idea of movie come out but we doesnt get the best.So we decide to meet Miss Dini to choose kind of movie thats suit to ours,Miss Dini say she want us to do like Oh My English (Malaysia's favourite comedy and educational television series).

We just carry on with idea from Miss Dini.Built up the script is quite harder because we dont have to  take a long of  time on one scene. We decide to wear school clothes for customes and mostly we do all things at ika's house.Practice for the last time is quite rush because we scared that we late to go to hall.

After all, everyone did a good performance and im happy for our group because we did what we practice before.Never mind for some technical problems and minor errors because we take a nap for that.I am very enjoy spent day wih my group and class.Remember that work experience is unpaid but it’s a learning experience.

Thank You

my experience preparing for role-play

 MY EXPERIENCE PREPARING FOR ROLE-PLAY

What is role-play, role-play is for example drama, my lecture Miss Dini ask her class to do assignment for role-play by group. Each one group have 4 or 5 person and the duration will give 2 weeks. My group is afzan, hizal, adila, syafiqah, najwa and me. Miss Dini says in your role-play will acting at hall. Omg in hall !!! I don’t know but my group and I very unexpected, unbelievable and excited too. Miss Dini told to do our personal drama whatever for role-play but no drama of love.

A day and day we don’t acting yet because we have a quiz for other subject. And one day Miss Dini want some script for our role-play. Omg my group didn’t do anything for role-play, that drama we don’t think  yet. Hour and hour I propose to storyline about Oh My English.. I suggest to do parody just like them but no 100% like them(oh my English). About script we looking in internet, open lab in kptm to research and we can’t find that. Its very hard to say that. When we go home to hostel adila say’s to me just do our operate script. And I back to my room and thinking about script. For our role-play this given 20-30 minutes only and I do a 5 scene for example, first scene in class(introduce),second scene is talentime, third scene sleeping at school, forth scene trip in Terengganu, last scene is musical… I suggest 5 scene only, when my group look and thinking, they agree and love my suggestion but I cut to be 4 scene because najwa say to me just could not saving time 30 minutes and they say its okay .. omg I loved them, I love went them in one head  hahaha..

Next, when I do the script in malay at the same time adila, syafiqah, and najwa translate my script in English.. Opss sorry I didn’t say that najwa in other group because Miss Dini say to their najwa group to split and enter other group because najwa group very little person only 4 person so that lecture ask to split and najwa enter my group SEARCH HULK hhhaha… That why my group get 6 person. Yeayyy, I love if my group getting many person haha.

And went finish the script we sent email to miss dini. And miss dini don’t comment anything, I think that okay to our script. And one night before role-play in hostel when we were just about to act also do the proms that night hahaha. I not afraid because my group very sporting person and we just take a little big proms only. Hahaha its very funny because not just my group don’t yet practice other group also. And until the day, all group must arrive before 12pm. Fuhh my group not the first to present. My group is number four to present. And bla bla bla, when my group turn to present WOW amazing i not expect lecture laughting our parody .. I see from the beginning and the end miss dini laugh our parody.. I happy and my group also happy. Weeks and week miss dini say to our SEARCH HULK group to present for second at hall in front of all student and lecture. Omg oh my good my group say not again erghh hahahha. Until now we don’t try to practice for second role-play hahaha.

Fuhh the end of my stories about experience for role-play hope who’s read this stories will always forgive and loved me. And I love my friend afzan, hizal, adila, syafiqah, and last najwa to support me do the role-play together-gathers and also have conflict but, have a but wokay of the end we always forgive and stay together. I will not forget my THE BEST FRIEND EVER .

My Experience Preparing For Role-play

As we all know, AB101 students of KPTM Bangi are ordered to do a role-play for the Basic English (HPE1013) semester 1 assessment. So does everyone in Section 18. Divided to group of 5, we all have to come up with a role-play of our own. No scripts, no props, no acting coach was there to help. None was given. We all have to come up with our own story, our own plot, our own script, our own props and our own acting coach (unfortunately, ourselves!). At first, everyone was groaning on how they dislikes doing activities that requires energy (physically and mentally). Duhh, not everyone like "sport". But we all had to do it because it carries mark that could help us if we didn't reach our target in the final examination.

So my group started by giving ideas on what we're gonna do for our role-play. Plenty of ideas came rushing in but none was suited with each members. When none was decided, we look for another alternative. Here comes Madam Google ! (I always believe if Google is a person, it would be a woman.. *smirk*) We came up with tons of ideas, yet we still can't decide. We finally came up with 3 role-play sample script. By the time to see Miss Dini to submit our role-play title and brief explanation of the role-play we choose, we came up to her proposing 3 role-play title (which we got off from the internet) which we ask Miss Dini if she could light us the way to which role-play we should go with. At last, Miss Dini advised us to do a parody of typical Malay film/drama scene. We all in agreement to go along with Miss Dini's ideas. I decided to agree with anything they choose. After careful consideration, we decided to go with Malaysia's favourite comedy and educational television series, Oh My English!

The process of preparing a role-play script was harder than it looks like. Writing and translating was strenuous. Searching for the right sound effect for the role-play was tricky. The search for costumes was tough and acting training was on the contrary, amusing.

Finally, the day has come to performed our role-play, onstage at KPTM Bangi Hall. My group (Search Hulk) was scheduled to performed at 4 pm. Everyone was a nervous wreck during the performance. In the end, everyone did a superb performance despite some technical problems and minor errors. Everyone including myself had an enjoyable time preparing for the role-play. It is indeed a very helpful experience to me and the rest of the classmates.

My Favourite Place To Hang Out With Friends

"People come into your lives who you have a good time with, and time goes by and you still have a good time with them and you do stupid stuff with them. To me, that's life." - Danny DeVito

We have to admit, everyone needs love. Love is one of the things that makes us strong, courageous and happy. Love comes in different forms such as families, success, food, travel and friends.

Either we realize it or not, most of our time are spend hanging around our friends. There are always the one who is there to help us in thick and thin and are always together with come hell or high water. And what better way to spend time with them at a favourite place!!

My favourite place to hang out with friends would be Starbucks. It is one of Malaysia's favourite coffee place. It is a very fun place for me and my friends to hang out as the place is so comfortable.

The music that the cafe played in the background are relaxing, making the place a great resting spot for stress-out customers nowadays. The place is also equipped with free WiFi, thus making it a favourite spot for working adults and higher-education students.

Now, let us venture into their food and beverages! There are tons, I mean TONS of thirst-quenchers at Starbucks!! They are Java Chip, Caramel Machiatto, Caramel Frappucino and etc,

The food at Starbucks is beyond amazing! They got a great variety of mouth-watering cuisine such as Blueberry Cheese Cake, Bagels and etc.
All in all, Starbucks is a great place to hang out with your friends. It is such a relaxing yet comforting place.

5 INTERESTING PLACE TO HANGOUT

Well hello loves! I’m writing today about…. 5 interesting places to hang out! I don’t even know why I am so excited about this topic, maybe pretty much because I’m the type of person that CAN’T stay in the house for too long, my brain just doesn't function that way. Okay joke. Sometimes there’s days  when you just want to lay on your bed and don’t feel like doing nothing but mostly I loveeeee  to hang out, spending quality time with my family, especially as a student, you don’t have much quality time to spend with your family and friends but when you do, you got to do it right. I love to explore new activities and place so here you go, 5 places that that are interesting to hang out!

#1 PATTY & PIE

Burgers. Good. Pizzas. Good. Burgers and pizzas? Gooooood. That’s the grand idea behind Patty & Pie in Aman Suria, one of the newest burger and pizza joints in town
In Kuala Lumpur, it is very hard to find a good old pizzas rather than a typical pizzas restaurant such as Pizza Hut and Domino’s, but my new discovery were right here in Kota Damansara, Patty & Pie, the pizza here is nothing else like the typical pizza you usually taste, they made their own tomato sauce, they made the pizza once the customer ordered, rolling the flour, pretty much start from the scratch, that’s what makes the flatbread fluffy and soft, and fresh I think. That’s what makes their pizza unique! I usually went here every week with my family especially for dinner because my dad, my brother, my sister… well pretty much my whole family loveee simply delicious western food. It is a good place to gather, eat good food and just hang out. You can give them a visit at 40, Jalan PJU 1/45, Aman Suria, 47301 Petaling Jaya, Selangor

#2 TAMAN LAYANG-LAYANG METROPOLITAN

If you are in Klang Valley and have yet to encounter kite flying, take some time off and go for an exciting time with your family to Kepong Metropolitan Park. This park is located at the north of Jinjang and can be easily accessed using Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2). The first phase of this park was opened in the year 2001 and the second phase is now opened to the public with more amenities for the public to use. The facilities that have been built include children's playground, an observation tower, jogging tracks, cycling tracks, reflexology facilities, toilets, a boat house, shelters, car Park, open space for Kites enthusiasts

Kite Flying

If you are a kite enthusiasts or has been stirred to take up this hobby, you will be glad to know that there is a huge field that runs parallel to the main road in the park for you to use. Most barriers and trees have been removed to ensure a clearance of at least 100m for the kites to take off. You will see many experience kite flyers here showing their skills in flying huge kites, some as big as 30 feet. Other colorful kites with various shapes and design can be seen up the sky during the windy days. If you are driving along the MRR2 towards Sungai Buluh, you will definitely see the many kites and throngs of people at this park especially during the weekends. Buying a kite is not a problem as there are a few kite sellers that ply their trade outside the park.

Jogging Tracks

Take some time to jog along the rubberized jogging tracks that surround the park. However, be careful of motorcycles as some of them can be seen riding on the path at some parts of the field. Fishing is no longer allowed here even though there is a huge lake with many species of freshwater fish.

#3 KUALA LUMPUR CITY CENTRE

Kuala Lumpur City Centre is a multipurpose development area in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The area is located around Jalan Ampang, Jalan P. Ramlee, Jalan Binjai, Jalan Kia Peng and Jalan Pinang. There are a number of shopping complexes such as Suria KLCC and Avenue K. Designed to be a city within a city, the 100-acre site hosts the tallest twin buildings in the world, shopping mall, hotels, office buildings and several hotels. A public park and a mosque is also built on the area and open to everyone. I usually went here to do some shopping therapy since it got literally everything from handbags to dresses to jeans and others, for movies and also a good place to take pictures by the park!

#4 DISTRICT 21

District21 is a first of its kind, 70,000 sq.ft, Apocalypse themed action adventure park. Located in a 55ft air-conditioned atrium, within IOI City Mall, Putrajaya. Comprises 11 attractions and 8 function rooms, District21 also offers an ideal venue for corporate team building functions and school groups and birthday parties. Void of ‘passive’ rides, the credo of District21 is Fun, Passion, and Participation engaging the entire family to be active. Incorporating 11 adventure attractions, many of which have never been seen in Asia, District21 offers activities for all visitors to get you climbing, jumping, riding, sliding and flying.

Roller Glider

The Roller Glider is a world first attraction, a mix of zip line and coaster. Instead zipping down a cable the trolley runs along a pipe allowing the closed loop course to take curves. This way the riders enjoy additional g-forces of a coaster with the gravity feed thrill of a zipline.

The Maze

Navigate through a vertical labyrinth of tunnels, cages and funky challenges, at times more than 10m above ground. The entire Maze is completely enclose thus removing the need for a harness. A scaled version is also available for younger kids, complete with slide.

The Sunway Lagoon is a theme park in Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. It was officially opened by then Prime Minister Tun Mahathir bin Mohamad on 17 September 1997. It features rides in both the water park and the adjacent amusement park, excluding Scream Park, Wildlife Park & Extreme Park. my favourite place to hangout is dip&dip cafe

DIP&DIP

I usually go dip&dip cafe at Bangsar,Kuala Lumpur because its near from my house.sometimes i used to meet my old friends,do assingment and else.Dip&Dip cafe quite awesome and good on their design and food. the treats look so pretty. A friend was just telling me about this spot. She said she liked it because the chocolate was not too sweet. The most ingredient on here is chocolate.thats why i love it.their first branch was in Cham City Center in Damascus, Syria back in 2009. They started this shop as an experimental shop to test out this new concept and now they had made a pretty good story out of it and now they are having some branches across the country and two of the branches are here in Malaysia.

a heaven for chocolate lovers, chocoholics are dying to get to this place because all they served are all chocolate based, no savory food like pasta, lamb chop, and etc. it’s all chocolate and chocolate alone as their main ingredient.

Belgian chocolate is enlisted to create treats like crepes covered with a triple threat of milk, dark and white chocolate. Sumptuously warm and creamy. This is only rm16 for first picture.Quite cheap right and the service was good. Here i give another picture for you to crave it.

so thats all i think i hope you like it.i hope you will go to din&dip cafe and taste the food.Is it sure you will like it.

thank you

10 Of My Favorite Foods

"Eating is not merely a material pleasure. Eating well gives a spectacular joy to life and contributes immensely to goodwill and happy companionship. It is of great importance to the morale"

-Elsa Schiaparelli

Well, here comes my favorite post of all, we’re talking about FOOOOOOD! I can't even think 5 of my favorite food since I love everything about it, since I am fortunate enough to got the opportunity to travel all around the world, I have discovered all types of food cuisine, when I come to different places, the first thing I would do is to try their local and traditional foods, discover the unique taste of it, I still even remember how it taste like, mmm… but after all, my favorite food will always be the one that i grew up with, comfort and homie kind of food. Well, let’s start!

#1 CHICKEN CHOP

Despite my (not too) far-fetched claims of extraordinariness, I’m actually a rather typical Malaysian. So if you are anything like me, it is most likely that your first encounter with Western food is the chicken chop.
I grew up automatically linking Western cuisine with chicken chop, then fish and chips, then steak, then lamb, then pasta. It wasn’t till I was much older when I realized that hey, no one outside of Malaysia or Singapore knows what the heck a chicken chop is! It is not even to be found on Wikipedia!!!

Then I was duly informed that the chicken chop is a local creation: I’m not able to provide a history of how it came about, but it may have something to do with the Hainanese in Malaysia. I suppose it’s the evolution of pork chops to lamb chops to hey, let’s grill this chicken too and call it chicken chop.

A chicken chop as I know it is a piece of de-boned chicken thigh, breaded and deep-fried or just plain grilled or pan-fried. Its accompanying sauces are usually black pepper or mushroom which you pour all over the chicken. In KL there’s the Hailam sauce which I don’t quite fancy because of its slight sweetness.
The usual side dishes that come with the chicken chop are the coleslaw and French fries. Variations? Assorted vegetables, mashed potatoes or rice, whatever suits your fancy. Thus fulfilling the requirement of meat + carbs + greens. Very Western, or at least it seems so in our Asian minds!

#2 PIZZA

Pizza is a flat bread generally topped with tomato sauce and cheese and baked in an oven. It is commonly topped with a selection of meats, vegetables and condiments.

Well pretty much that’s what makes their pizza unique! You can give them a visit at 40, Jalan PJU 1/45, Aman Suria, 47301 Petaling Jaya, Selangor

This picture is the actual picture of the pizza and the oven used in Patty & Pie, a must try for all local Malaysian! ;)

#3 MASAK LEMAK CILI PADI

The specialty from Negeri Sembilan is the masak lemak cili padi, which is a spicy rich yellow coconut gravy that is cooked with bird's eyes chillies. While this dish uses chicken, it can be substituted with prawns or a firm white fish.

#4 MACARONI AND CHEESE

Consisting of cooked macaroni pasta and cheese, most commonly Cheddar cheese, though it can also incorporate other ingredients, such as bread crumbs, meat and vegetables. Traditional macaroni and cheese is a casserole baked in the oven; however, it may be prepared in a sauce pan on top of the stove or using a packaged mix. It is considered an American comfort food.

#5 CHAR KWAY TEOW

Char kway teow, literally "stir-fried ricecake strips", is a popular noodle dish in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and Indonesia. The dish is considered a national favorite in Malaysia and Singapore.
It is made from flat rice noodles (河粉 hé fěn in Chinese) or kway teow (粿条 guǒ tiáo in Chinese) of approximately 1 cm or (in the north of Malaysia) about 0.5 cm in width, stir-fried over very high heat with light and dark soy sauce, chilli, a small quantity of belachan, whole prawns, bean sprouts and chopped Chinese chives. The dish is commonly stir-fried with egg, slices of Chinese sausage and fishcake, and less commonly with other ingredients.

#6 CURRY MEE

Curry Mee (Malay: mee kari; simplified Chinese: 咖喱面; traditional Chinese: 咖喱麵; pinyin: Gālímiàn) is a dish that is unique to Malaysia and Singapore, usually made up of thin yellow noodles or/and string thin mee-hoon (rice vermicelli) with spicy curry soup, chilli/sambal, coconut milk, and a choice of dried tofu, prawns, cuttlefish, chicken, egg, mint leaves and cockle.

In certain places in Southeast Asia, especially southern Malaysia and Singapore, it is called "curry laksa" (Malay: laksa kari; Chinese: 咖喱喇沙; pinyin: Gālí Lǎshā). It is a cross between the Singapore laksa and a spicy variation of the mee rebus (an Indonesian noodle dish with yellow noodles.

#7 LOADED FRIES

French fries (American English), chips, fries, finger chips, or French-fried potatoes are batons of deep-fried potato. French fries are served hot, either soft or crispy, and generally eaten as part of lunch or dinner, or on their own as a snack, and they commonly appear on the menus of fast food restaurants. French fries are generally salted and are often served with ketchup, loaded fries is basically a French fries with minced mint leaves with loads and I mean LOADSSSSS of cheese! My mouth is watering just thinking of it. Loaded fries is an example of a simple comfy food with punch of taste.

#8 DOUBLE CHEESEBURGER

Two 100% beefy patties simply seasoned with a pinch of salt and pepper, two slices of melty American cheese, tangy pickles, minced onions, ketchup and mustard. Show your taste buds some lovin’ with this local option.

#9 CINNABON

Cinnabon is a chain of American baked goods stores and kiosks, normally found in areas with high pedestrian traffic such as malls and airports.

#10 CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

A chocolate chip cookie is a drop cookie that originated in the United States and features chocolate chips as its distinguishing ingredient. The traditional recipe combines a dough composed of butter and both brown and white sugar with semi-sweet chocolate chips. Variations include recipes with other types of chocolate as well as additional ingredients such as nuts or oatmeal.

Well, that's pretty much it for 10 of my favorite food... Food, in the end, in our own tradition, is something holy. It's not about nutrients and calories. It's about sharing. It's about honesty. It's about identity. Until next time!
