(pict-views)
Let’s get started! The Republic of China(Taiwan) was founded in 1912, making it the first democratic republic in Asia. In 1949, the government moved to Taiwan and maintained control over an area surrounding the islands of Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen, Matsu, Dongsha, Zhongsha, and Nansha.

History :
Taiwan is a small island nation 180km east of China with contemporary cities, hot springs resorts and dramatic mountainous terrain. Taipei, the country’s capital in the north, is known for its busy night markets and street-food vendors, Chinese Imperial art at the National Palace Museum and Taipei 101, a 509m-tall, bamboo-shaped skyscraper with an observation deck.
Today, Taiwan featured excellent infrastructure, convenient transportation system, and high-quality communication services. It also has accomplished, in the face of several international energy crises and economic downturns, anoutstanding record of economic development and political democracy. All of this won’t be happening if it weren’t forthe determination and continuous efforts of its people.

Each gallery in the pavilion is powered by advanced technologies under the patronage of Academia Sinica, in a clear sign of national competitiveness. The pavilion’s grand hall is entitled “Prelude” to suggest the beginning of a journey involving four distinctively captivating galleries and a theater that shows Jimmy Liao’s (a Taiwanese illustrator and picture book writer) animated films.
